Experimental trio Moin release new track 'Pockets' from their new four track EP Clocked Off; billed as a collection of "outsider jams that rolled out of the studio, part experiment, part sketches." Made up of Joe Andrews and Tom Halstead from experimental duo Raime and prolific percussionist Valentina Magaletti - and recently joined by Alpha Maid in their live set up - the band make disjointed collages made from deconstructing and reassembling disparate elements; enigmatic spoken word vocal samples and atmospheric electronics, they stitch together post-punk/post-hardcore riffs over complex rhythmic structures to make a sound that is as innovative as it is distinctive. 'Pockets' is a no-wave indebted track made from an unrelenting drum pattern that interlocks with a wonky bass groove reminiscent of a DNA track coupled with sparse electronic textures and cacophonous samples of screaming that merge uncannily with bleating sheep.
